<![CDATA[<p>FOPE Spam Quarantine: Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange quarantine@messaging.microsoft.com</p><p><p></p>
<p>Technology Services has implemented a new Spam Quarantine system, Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE), to replace the previous system called Ironport. There are a few significant changes for the users:</p>
<ol>
<li>In order to view the full quarantine each user will need to register with the <span style="font-style: italic;">Microsoft </span><span style="font-style: italic;" id="bodyfont">Forefront Online Protection for Exchange</span><span style="font-style: italic;"> (FOPE)</span> system which includes creating a new password that<i> is not </i>linked to the Tulane password.</li>
<li>A list of the messages being held in the quarantine is emailed to you every three days. <br /> <br /> <img src="http://support.ts.tulane.edu/FileManagement/Download/9fa02b52ef8a4b63b03a52c173d80054" alt="" /></li>
<li>There are no personal Blacklists/Whitelists.</li>
</ol>
<p>Messages can be released from the FOPE Spam Quarantine directly via email or through the web interface.</p>

<p>The first time you access the FOPE Spam Quarantine directly, you will need to register with your Tulane email address and create a new password:</p>

<li>Click the link: <a href="https://quarantine.messaging.microsoft.com">https://quarantine.messaging.microsoft.com</a> or (or click the link in the Quarantine email notification)</li>

<li>Close the Window</li>
<li>Go to back to your email, and retrieve the message that was sent to you from <b><i>exmailer@microsoft.com</i></b><br /> <br /> <br /> <img src="http://support.ts.tulane.edu/FileManagement/Download/aa6600b13d9f41349da586cf8c0803e8" alt="" /></li>
<li>Click the link that was sent in the message<br /> <br /> <img src="http://support.ts.tulane.edu/FileManagement/Download/57835c423eb84eb396fc5b6819dffb2b" alt="" /></li>

<p>Quarantine Messages:</p>
<p><b>Move to Inbox</b>- message is put back into your inbox without altering the FOPE logic</p>
<p><b>Not Junk</b>- message is put back into your inbox and a note is made to help FOPE determine spam in the future.<br /> <br /> A pop up image is displayed if you are logged into the FOPE web interface. If this action is taken directly from the email message you will be directed to a web page with the message <i>"Spam message has marked as false positive."</i><br /> <br /> <img src="http://support.ts.tulane.edu/FileManagement/Download/09195b90d7fc40b180042366fab227dd" alt="" /></p>
<p><b>No Action</b>- messages stay in the FOPE quarantine for 15 days and then they are deleted.</p>
<p><b>Delete</b>- you can log into FOPE and manually delete message from the quarantie.</p>
