FOPE Spam Quarantine: Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange quarantine@messaging.microsoft.com
Technology Services has implemented a new Spam Quarantine system, Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE), to replace the previous system called Ironport. There are a few significant changes for the users:
Messages can be released from the FOPE Spam Quarantine directly via email or through the web interface.
The first time you access the FOPE Spam Quarantine directly, you will need to register with your Tulane email address and create a new password:
Quarantine Messages:
Move to Inbox- message is put back into your inbox without altering the FOPE logic
Not Junk- message is put back into your inbox and a note is made to help FOPE determine spam in the future.
A pop up image is displayed if you are logged into the FOPE web interface. If this action is taken directly from the email message you will be directed to a web page with the message "Spam message has marked as false positive."
No Action- messages stay in the FOPE quarantine for 15 days and then they are deleted.
Delete- you can log into FOPE and manually delete message from the quarantie.
